Optical-push movies: Watching organic electronic devices at work
Dr. Artem Bakulin
AMOLF, Amsterdam
17:15 - 18:15 Tuesday 30 October 2012 TUG P2

"One of the most promising technological developments to come in the near future is molecular electronics which uses organic and bio molecules to conduct and manipulate charge carriers. The talk will be devoted to the investigation and optimization of organic-based and hybrid electronic devices with the help of ultrafast spectroscopy. In particular, I will introduce a novel technique (pump-push photocurrent spectroscopy) which links the molecular-level photophysics of the devices to their actual electronic or photovoltaic performance. I will outline a number of success stories and discuss some possible applications of the described 'optical-manipulation' approach to the areas of organic and bio- optoelectronics."
