This course treats selected topics in applied physics. Cryo-physics. Physical foundations of cryo-engineering, refrigerators and liquification of gases.Entropy/temperature diagrams. Low temperature thermometry. Thermal insulation. Analytical methods in material research: X-ray fluorescence analysis, Auger spectrometry, photoelectron spectrometry. X-ray diffraction procedures, physics of diffraction, Fourier transforms.
