The automotive sector is without a doubt experiencing a massive transformation. This poses a lot of new challenges for OEMs in terms of testing. New components, powertrains ect. are tested before entering the market. Due to the long lifetimes in the automotive sector, different techniques have to be used to reduce testing time while still getting all necessary information of the test. One of these techniques is the Load Matrix approach. It is a systematic 4-step approach using Accelerated Stress Testing to develop optimal test cycles which cover all desired failure modes. The aim of this thesis is to develop damage models of relevant failure modes for a PEMFC which can be used to develop optimal testing cycles.
