Pipeline operators have to guarantee a safe and failure-free operating pipeline system.
What they want to achieve is the minimization of corrosion and the formation of hydrates inside the pipelines, which means, that they also need to minimize the amount of water (vapor) in the natural gas.
The goal of this master thesis is to see if hydrogel thin films are responsive enough to build a new humidity senor device to measure the relative humidity in a natural gas environment in pipeline systems.
