11:15 - 12:15 Wednesday 02 October 2024

Chiral symmetry breaking of molecular crystals is a spontaneous process which separates molecules into their enantiomorph state so that they can form individual chiral crystal structures. The talk will introduce important terms which are related to chirality of molecules. Two different types of axially chiral molecules will be introduced together with their abilities to crystallize in a chiral state. Methods for determination of the exact chemical structure will be introduced.
